Windy City DJ Scott Remedy a.k.a. Scott Mitchell was raised in Florida. Always a music enthusiast, he learned violin at the age of 6, then moving on to piano and drums from a young age. He was first introduced to House music after moving to Orlando in 1992 and hitting clubs like Aahz, Marz, and the Abyss... he was instantly hooked. After a few years he got his own decks, and learned to mix on breaks, electro, and house music of the mid 90’s. His first club gigs included parties at the Gator Club, Border Lounge, Barbarella’s, Icon, WMC, Firestone plus numerous house parties.

After moving to Chicago in 1999, he further developed his tastes in house music playing weekly residences at Gold @ Rapture and the Mashed Potato Club, and occasional work at other night clubs. In Chicago he has played from grungy southside dives to upscale hangouts like Rive Gauche and Smartbar; from the underground through the mainstream clubs.

In 2008 he began an internet radio show on nuskoolbreaks.co.uk / nsbradio.co.uk.
